God's One Plan - Milestones

Milestones in God’s plan
• The miraculous birth of the Seed of the woman
The promise of the Seed of the woman was given in the Garden of Eden – the only Hope of all fallen mankind. He was to be born in Time as an Israelite, a Man-child, and the son of a virgin. The Holy Spirit would come upon her and the power of the Highest would enable her to bring forth the Son of God, thus playing a special role in the Purpose of God.
• The atoning death of the Lamb of God
The Son of man would shed His blood as a ransom for the souls of men to redeem them to Himself because without shedding of blood, there would be no remission of sin. (Sin resulted in the unbelief and disobedience of man to God’s commandment). The Son of God would submit Himself to the Father to step into the world to show His superior love, mercy, and grace. The Spirit of God would enable the Son of God, while on earth, to continue accomplishing the Purpose of God.
• The victorious resurrection of the Saviour of the world
While the death of the Son of man would bring salvation to all mankind, His resurrection as man on the third day of His death would demonstrate that He has crushed the head of Satan on the cross to give him a death blow. So doing, Jesus would deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. – Heb 2:15. This would also boldly and powerfully declare Him to be the Son of God. – Rom 1:4. This triumphal event would pave the way for believers to be drawn into His eternal Purpose.
• The powerful establishment of the Kingdom of His Son
Believers in the word of God and in the Word of God i.e., the Son of God the Lord Jesus Christ, would be forgiven of their sins due to the shedding of God’s blood (Acts 20:28). They are thus delivered instantly from the penalty of sin. They would be given a new life in Christ and would be born again by the word of God. The Holy Spirit enables this in the individual, Christ Himself becoming their life thereafter. They would be translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light of God’s Glorious Son and be “the called according to His Purpose” – Rom 8:28.
• The continuous transformation of the Saints of God (though not a milestone in its technical sense)
The believers would obey the Lord in baptism in water and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit Who would descend on the believers, keep filling them every day, and take control of them entirely. This Spirit of truth would lead them into all the truth in the Lord Jesus Christ. They would become a member of the worldwide Church and an organ in the local church, grow in the word unto holiness, preach the gospel of the Kingdom and help other fellow-saints grow spiritually. The saints will keep transforming from glory to glory by this indwelling presence of the Spirit of God and be delivered continually from the power of sin. Their ultimate desire would be to grow “till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ”. – Eph 4:13. Their only desire would be to fulfill the Purpose of God for their life while here on earth by committing themselves to His Plan.
• The glorious rapture of the Church of God
The purification of the sanctified Church of God will continue until the day the Lord Jesus comes for them to deliver and take them with Him to the very place He has been preparing for them – far away from the presence of sin and this place called the earth, also called Sodom and Egypt spiritually. By this time, the last sheep would have been brought to the fold, the last sheaf of the harvest would have been collected (and the tares too, but, for destruction), the last stone in the Church, the City of God would have been laid, the last member/cell in His body would have been generated and the last gentile and the last Israelite would have been saved. They would go to inherit the incorruptible, and undefiled riches that fades not away, reserved in heaven (1 Pet 1:4) and are laid up for them in the Purpose of God.
• The ultimate punishment of the adversaries of God
Satan and his angels who rebelled against God, the beast (Antichrists – the Jews and the Muslims), the false prophet ( another beast – USA), death, hades, and all those who defied God, rejected His authority and failed to kiss the feet of the Son of God (Ps 2:12) – all unbelievers, the disobedient, the ungodly, haughty and the wicked will be cast into the lake of fire and brimstone forever – unending torment and pain. They will be shown how wilfully submitting to His purpose yields eternal bliss for His Creation.
• The final gathering together of the Sons of God
The ultimate purpose of God is achieved when He gathers together His sons in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. They will be fit for a new environment with the new body that would be given to them at the time of their “snatching away” from the earth. He has prepared for them a new heaven and a new earth. His Church will be the New Jerusalem that will come down from heaven to the new earth after the revamping happens here. And all of them will be like God’s only begotten Son, though adopted, and will share with Him the same glory He possesses. They will remain with Him forever.
“I know that you can do all things and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted”. – Job 42:2. (ESV 2011).
