Man is not...
Section I
Man is not God. He had a beginning. (Every man does). He was made by God. He exhibits in a limited measure the unlimited attributes of God (mentioned in the previous pages). Man was made to show the glory of God – not the possessor of the glory itself (like how the moon reflects the light of the Sun). Man was made to emulate the characteristics of God among His creation. He was to show the nature of God (in a limited measure (quantum), of course!) to everybody and everything around him. Man will also be a privileged partaker of the glory of Christ in eternity.
Man is not a conglomerate of complex chemicals. He is not a mixture in a flask in a laboratory. And, none is conducting an experiment with these chemicals! While the wisemen of the world seem to attribute every emotion of man and his activities to chemicals, hormones, and pheromones, none has succeeded in altering permanently the perverted minds of mankind using these.
Man is not a product of evolution. He did not evolve from non-living things. A hydrogen atom (the simplest of atoms known to man) could not – and still cannot – become helium and other higher elements, especially Carbon, the most abundant element in organisms. Biological evolution – the evolution of life cells – is far from any possibility to become a reality. The theory that amoeba evolved to higher animals and then to man is an outright lie. (Darwin’s racist book is Origin of Species, not Origin of Life! – neither does it tell you any “origin”).
Man is not an animal. Man has an eternal soul that animals don’t possess. Man has the sixth sense that makes him conscious of his existence, his surroundings, his lineage and ancestors, ethics and morality, and possesses a sense of belonging to the society he is in. He has a dignity that gives him self-esteem to keep his head high. He does not choose his spouse for procreation only but to share a life filled with love and other intimate emotions. He exerts his will, has his desires, thinks deeply (even about his thoughts), and expresses his feelings. He communicates using complex language, uses his hands to work, appreciates art, aesthetics, and beauty, and develops culture and civilization. “I think; therefore, I am”.
Man is not a machine. God gave man the freewill to choose between good and evil! Animals can choose good food and let go of the bad (not evil!). Man was given the freedom to submit to the will of His Maker or to do his own will. He was given the right to choose between life and death (eternal separation from Life). Only this freewill would enable him to understand God’s love and love Him in return. All other emotions of man depend on this one aspect called love. Love makes one being human.
