Chapter 039
Section I

The Lord God summoned Adam, Eve, and Satan. Adam admitted that he sinned but put the blame on Eve. Eve passed the buck on to Satan. Now we know why men tend to play the blame game when caught red-handed of a crime! God cursed Satan and prophesied His adversary’s ultimate doom under the heels of the Son of God Who would be born of the seed of a woman as the Son of Man. But this also involved the Son being bruised at the heel by Satan, thus foretelling the gory death of the Son of God as the Lamb of God. This promise was given even to the first couple.

Only men have the seed for procreation. The woman has the egg. The Son of Man was to be born of the seed of a woman. The Seed of the woman. Jesus, the Savior of the world was to be born miraculously in an unprecedented fashion. He would be born of the Holy Spirit. A man would not be required to supply the seed. Mary would miraculously have a seed in herself to conceive.

God also demonstrated how He would fulfill His promise, as per His original plan, by slaying a lamb to provide clothing for the first couple to cover their shame. The shedding of innocent blood showed man that sin would bring forth agonizing death. A substitutionary death of a sinless Man for the sin of the world was due in its time and was coming in His-story.

The leading religions of the world still believe in a substitutionary death of an animal, an innocent child (in Aryan Hinduism), or another sinful man as in some tribal communities even today, for receiving favor from God. The religious Jews keep the Passover even today and were offering animal sacrifices at their temple in Jerusalem until it was completely destroyed in the first century AD 70 by the Romans. Muslims continue to slaughter animals – predominantly a lamb on Bakrid (bakri – lamb; Id – offering).

The sacrificial animal was to be killed by slitting its throat (Halal in Arabic – allal in Thamizh); by doing so, blood would be pumped out of its body as the heart would keep functioning until there is not enough blood for expelling. Alternatively, strangling an animal results in the blood still retained inside the body of the dying animal making it unfit for consumption – God had said the blood must be shed for the forgiveness of sins. Strangled animals are prohibited for all believers – Jew and Gentile.

Thamizhar and the aboriginal people of India, called the scheduled castes, backward and most backward communities and Adivasis (all who speak various original and tribal languages) offer animal sacrifices to appease their family deities (kula deivam) on a certain day of every year as per their tradition. (None of these people were called Hindus until the 19th century when the British colonialists stamped them so, as they were compiling the civil law for India. The crypto-Jews / Aryans handed over their Manu-dharma to Sir William Jones who translated it from Sanskrit to English and paved the way for the formulation of a law book for the people of the land. He called the Indians, “Hindus” and Manu dharma, “Hindu law”. It was a misnomer – the people of the land were never Hindus and Manu-dharma-based law can never be the law of the land. Hindus were the migrants from Central Asia and Varnasrama dharma was formulated by them to subdue others).

People who currently speak hybrid languages like Hindi and its variants are the Aryans or crypto-Jews. These “brahmans” entered India in the 8th century BC for the first time (in 722 BC) when the Kingdom of Israel then ruled by King Hoshea was captured by the Assyrian king Salmanazar and the Jews got scattered all over the world. As these had already married into their pagan neighbors, they were a mixed race (Samaritans included) and were looked down upon by the supposed-to-be-pure race that was in the kingdom of Judah. A scattering happened a second time in the 6th century BC (586 BC) when the Kingdom of Judah then ruled by Zedekiah was captured by the Babylonians and the comparatively “purer” Jews scattered again all over the world. Jews continued practicing their perverted religion even in the foreign lands where they settled down.

They used to offer animals (and often innocent children on fire) as sacrifices to their deities which were eventually the elements – idols of Vayu, Jal, Agni, Prithvi, and Akash (pancha maha bhooth) they had forsaken their God Jehovah long ago. After mingling with the Indian religions that advocated non-violence (Buddhism and Jainism), they hypocritically adopted the vegetarian lifestyle and so, offer vermillion-filled Pumpkins and Coconuts, to appease their deities. Interestingly, their gods are still planets, stars, and constellations, the forces of nature, the earth, and its fearsome living beings (the creation). These gods have been given the form of man, animal, bird, or reptile in their idols. These idols are personified, added attributes, and given names to differentiate one from the other. The Thamizh deities were usurped by them, their original histories twisted and undermined and given a Sanskrit shade that is now appropriated by the Thamizhar ignorantly.

The Roman Catholics (they are not Christians as they don’t believe in the word of God and have added a lot more rituals (works) to attain to Salvation) continue to offer sacrifice (Mass originally means sacrifice) of their deity in the form of the host and the wine on the altar at their worshipping places. Even the Lutherans do this, bidding the “believers” to bow to the “host” that is placed on the “altar”. (Read more about this elsewhere in ABHOT).

The Mahayana (greater vehicle) Buddhists and the Dhigambara Jains (Thikku ambaram – the four corners of the world become the covering, meaning transparent/naked / nirvana / neervannam) also offer sacrifices not necessarily animals, at their monasteries and temples respectively. The Hinayana (substandard vehicle / Theravada) form of Buddhism is atheistic and the Shwethambara (white-clad) form of Jainism was also agnostic in origin. Interestingly, “umbrella” (ambaram in Thamizh) is also a covering!

Christians believe in the once-and-for-all atoning death of the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, for the sin of entire mankind and salvation by the grace of God through faith in His word and in His Word. They are encouraged to bring sacrifices of praise to God and present themselves as living sacrifices that will enable them to live the life of Christ while here on earth.

Ever since the fall of man and the subsequent promise of a Saviour, Satan started keeping a vigil for this Seed of the woman. And the dragon stood before the woman, which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her Child as soon as it was born. – Rev 12:4. He also set out to defile mankind with his seed – lie. This would produce unbelief and disobedience against God in all those who yield to Satan’s deceptive tactics. They would also become Satan’s weapon against God and His chosen ones.

How can Adam’s sin become the sin of mankind? How can Adam’s sin be counted against every man after Adam? How is it “by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so, death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” – Rom 5:12. Every one of us was in Adam when he sinned! Levi was in Abraham when he paid tithe to Melchizedek, says the Bible. Thank God, when Jesus was on the cross, the chosen ones were in Him. God put us in Christ. So, when Jesus died on the cross, I died too. Paul says, “I am crucified with Christ”. Every believer was joined to him in His death, His burial, and His resurrection. Now if we are dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him. – Rom 6:8. Jesus’ righteousness is accounted as mine too. If I am in Christ, then He is also my wisdom, sanctification, and redemption and this is wrought by God Himself.

Is Adam responsible for the present wretched state? Yes and No. One can’t point fingers at Adam solely for the curse that the earth has fallen into. Nor can man feel disheartened in the claim that but for Adam, the world would have been a better place. While sin entered the world through Adam, every one of us has a will of our own and can still exercise it. But man is totally corrupt; this is evident from the fact that, given a choice, one always tends to do evil than good. Why blame poor Adam?

Man became a tiller of the ground. The first occupations of man were gardening and cattle rearing. Agriculture came after the flood when mankind settled in river basins where civilizations sprang up.

Mankind was created to be a vegetarian; the slaughtered animals were offered as sacrifices to God. All who believed in the word of God about a forthcoming Saviour offered God a slaughtered animal as a shadow of the original sacrifice that the Son of God would eventually present Himself as. This is indicated as the “believing line” in this book ABHOT. These looked forward to the fulfillment of the promise of God. Post the condescension, death, and resurrection of the “Seed of the woman”, the Lord Jesus Christ, believers look back to the His-storical events that happened in Judea and culminated in His gory death on Calvary. Post His resurrection, Christians are also looking forward to the “glorious hope” of the resurrection and rapture of the saints that have been guaranteed by the Resurrection Himself.
