Chapter 089
The “wise one” who keeps committing blunders!
Section II
Satan was created as a spirit, being perfect in wisdom. But in his depraved self, he set himself an ambition to usurp the throne of God and perverted his wisdom to folly. So, he kept committing blunders repeatedly.
• The liar and father of lies enticed the first man to fall into sin and caused him to disobey God so that he could foil the purpose of God right there; he failed to take note that God foreknew the fall of man for whom He had drawn a plan of Salvation even in the beginning. (Rev 13:8). Moreover, that blunder of Satan also made God spell his doom!
• The deceiver kept using people to confront the believing generation that would bring forth the Seed of the woman – all of them failed and fell; he couldn’t agree that they cannot stand the wisdom and the power of God, being frail and weak human beings. (Ps 39:4).
• The tempter came to the Lord Himself to catch Him in His own words; he forgot that the scriptures he quoted were the very words inspired by the Holy Spirit and is a two-edged sword that has the power to pull down strongholds. (2 Tim 3:16; Heb 4:12; 2 Cor 10:4).
• The adversary who once had power over death (not anymore) thought the death of the Son of God would result in the end of God’s purpose. So, he entered Judas and made him betray Jesus which would lead to His crucifixion; he didn’t realize that this was an integral and essential step in the plan of God. (Mark 9:12).
• The thief keeps throwing his fiery darts at the children of God to steal their peace and joy from their hearts, murder their bodies with disease and pain and destroy their souls with deceitful riches and lust; he refuses to believe that
o God has given them His armor to quench the deadly arrows and defend themselves and attack him as well (Eph 6:13).
o He has sent His indwelling Spirit to strengthen, comfort as well as empower them
o He dispenses His grace every day to sustain, overcome temptation, grow, and get them going fearlessly even in death as well towards their heavenly goal.
