Chapter 102
Aren’t you in His-story yet?
Section III
Truth is greatly simplified in Christ!
All those who are in His-story were chosen by God by His foreknowledge even before the foundation of the world and were given grace in Christ before the world began.
God purposed an Eternal purpose in Christ for His good pleasure. In the dispensation of the fullness of time, God wanted to gather together in one in Christ all things both which are in Heaven and which are on earth.
The chosen ones were blessed in Abraham because they would be in the believing generation – both who trusted and hoped in God and were looking forward to Christ for His work of redemption (Job, David, Daniel, etc.) and those who look back to Christ after His condescension.
All mankind was in Adam and detached from God because of sin. By one man’s disobedience, the whole world was condemned to death. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The wages of this sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus.
The love of God is brought to the world in Christ. God reconciled the whole world unto Himself and brought it nigh to Him in Christ by His blood. By one Man’s obedience, the whole world has passed from death to life. The veil that stood between man and this Holy God was torn down in Christ.
Ever since the promise of the Saviour, there has been one believing generation (from Seth to Zachariah, Elizabeth, Joseph, Mary, Simeon, Hannah, John the Baptist, Jesus’s disciples, and a lot of Gentiles – kings as well as the general public) that was looking forward to the Saviour – all designated as the generation of Christ. This generation continued (and continues) post His incarnation; this includes predominantly the Gentiles / non-Jews as only a remnant of the Jews believes in Him now.
God put everyone in this chosen generation in Christ even before the foundation of the world. He died on the cross on behalf of the believing generation.
All the fullness of Godhead dwells in Christ bodily and God’s name is in Him. If one confesses Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him and he dwelleth in God. In Hm, he/she lives, moves, and has his / her being.
A wealth of blessings is available to mankind only in Christ. One must believe in Him so that they should not perish but will have remission of sins, salvation, and eternal life with eternal glory. There is no condemnation to them that are in Christ. The promise of this life is in the Son of God Christ Jesus and those who believe become partakers of His Promise. He is the True God and Eternal Life.
God foreknew His people (who would be believers), He chose them (to be His children), He is calling them to Himself and unto His eternal glory (when His Children were born on the earth), redeeming and justifying them because of their faith (through the blood of His Son Jesus Christ), sanctifying them (through the death of His Son on the Cross which needs to be appropriated and experienced in a believer’s life), glorifying them (through His resurrection, ascension and glorification) and will perfect them (at His return for His saints). This is the great Salvation that God offers His Children by grace through their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
God’s people have a high calling in Christ; having been made one body called His Church, each one of them is being made a member/organ of this masterpiece, being complete in Him. God put them in His body of which Christ is the head and establishes them. The Church is His workmanship created in Christ.
Every person who is born again is a new creation in Christ. Each one is born of God as babes in Christ. They are born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. All those who are born of God, have the word of God as His seed in them. All these children of God by faith in Christ need to excel in the knowledge of Christ, become wise in Him, and mature in Him. All of these are one in Christ – saints and brethren.
God the Father dwells in Christ and Christ dwells in Him. He dwells in His people as He has given them of His Spirit. His children must abide in Him as the anointing abides in them and He will abide in them. If they keep His commands, they will dwell in Him. Those who abide in Him will not sin. God causes us to be triumphant in Christ.
All God’s chosen have every good thing in them in Christ. God has blessed them with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ and has made them sit together with Him in heavenly places. They have love, joy and peace, consolation, and liberty in Christ.
All promises of God are Yea and Amen in Christ. Believers have confidence in Him that if they ask anything according to His will, He heareth them.
They might be in bonds or even be prisoners in Him, but such mature believers can be helpers and instructors in Christ.
Believers need to be found in Him, walk with their ways in Him, and be rooted and built up in Him. Having faith in Christ they must be steadfast in it. His children should be faithful in Christ, live Godly, and have good conversation/conduct in Him. They must have the humble mind that was in Christ but also be bold and speak the truth in Him. They need to be approved in Christ and look forward to being presented perfect in Him.
God’s power was wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead. If the faithful ones abide in Him, then they have glorious hope and will have confidence when He appears at His coming. There are believers who have fallen asleep in Christ. Such dead in Christ will rise first and shall all be made alive at His return. Those who are alive will be transformed bodily and join Him at His second coming.
