The lie: Jesus will come secretly as a thief to the sky in the first phase (approx. 6000’ from MSL) and gather His Church there to take both the dead and the living to Heaven. There will be a great commotion on the Planet.

The truth: While Rapture is a sure event (probability 100%), this is the only time Jesus will return, not again and never the third time. He will come on the clouds (Acts 1:11); the dead in Christ will rise to everlasting life; the believing living remnant that had hoped for this glorious moment will be raptured to meet the Lord in the air. That will be the climax of the age. That would be the last day! Time shall be no more; There shall be no more days. And this is the will of Him that sent me, that everyone which sees the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. – John 6:40. Whoso eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. – John 6:54.

Immediately after this (or most probably simultaneously like it happened in the times of Noah and Lot) will be the judgement of the unbelieving lot. The Lord will stand on this earth (Job 19:25) to execute judgement upon the ungodly (Jude 15). The Church will judge the fallen angels. (1 Cor 6:3). What a Judgement Day it would be! And, many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. – Dan 12:2.

There are many places on this earth that are more than 6000' high. For example, there are at least seventy-five large cities in the world that are above 6000'. Just the USA itself contains more than a hundred cities that are more than 6000' high. If Jesus returns to this height, then, he would have already reached the earth. (By the way, the 6000' claim is with the height of Mt.Olives from where He ascended to heaven forty days after His resurrection).

Everywhere in the scriptures, the return of the Lord is mentioned as a public and noisy event.

(1) …the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power, when He shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in all them that believe … in that day. – 2Thess 1:7-10.

(2) For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: - 1Thess 4:16pp.

(3) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. - 1Cor 15:52.

(4) Behold, He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and they also which pierced Him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen. - Rev 1:7.
