Chapter 133
His coming again in His-story
Section IV

While here on this earth, Jesus kept talking not only about His departure to the Father but also about His return. I go to prepare a place for you. …I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Jn 14:2, 3. I will come to you. – Jn 14:18.

While the disciples were gazing into heaven as Jesus was taken up and a cloud received Him out of their sight on Mt Olives, two men in white apparel (angels?) said to them, “this same Jesus, Which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven”. – Acts 1:11.

Enoch, Job, and David, though they belonged to the Old Testament times, were sure of the return of their Redeemer and Lord. The Lord’s disciples Peter and John, James, the Lord’s (step) brother and Elder at the Church of Jerusalem, Apostle Paul – every one of these mentions the return of the Lord in no ambiguous terms in their letters.

His glorious appearing Tit 2:13 is the blessed hope for all believers.
