The Church is also depicted in the Scriptures as the body of Christ of which He is the Head. Every born-again believer is brought into a living union with their Head as a member of His body. Each one is an integral part of this divine organism (not an organization!) and God Himself attaches every member of the Body at the right place. (No membership fee will work!) The members draw life, nourishment, and strength from Christ, their Head. (The partaking of the bread and the wine by the believer symbolizes this). He is the source of all wisdom and knowledge and is the very reason for their existence. Every member in the Body of the worldwide Church can also be visualized as a lively cell in which the life of Christ equally exists. Each cell has a vital part to play in the healthy survival and propagation of nutrition so that the Body grows in all its vigor and strength. This Body will keep growing until the last cell in it is fully formed and the Body is complete.
