I am presenting here below some of the characteristics of my human nature while on earth, just to encourage you. Remember, I emptied myself of my original glory and set aside my divine nature voluntarily to become one of you and remain a human being for ever. As man:
o I was born with physical flesh, bones, and blood, spirit, soul, and body; later, I shed all my blood which contained the life of the flesh; (this flesh is not muscles, blood vessels, and nerves)
o I can be found in only one place at a time – not omnipresent; I am in heaven at the right hand of the Majesty; I have sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in you, wherever you are; today, I am present as my body of believers everywhere, wherever they gather.
o I did not know everything – not omniscient; only my Father told me everything I needed to know; for instance, the day of my return was not known to me while on earth; now, I know.
o I could not do everything – not omnipotent; only the Holy Spirit helped me do everything that the Father wanted me to do. (Note: I could not perform miracles in my hometown not because of my inability but because not many approached me for healing; they didn’t believe that I could heal them)
o I was born to a woman; Surely, she did not give birth to God!
o I was tucked in swaddling clothes to withstand the cold
o I was circumcised on the eighth day; I fulfilled the Jewish law.
o I was named Jesus; Only mankind are named.
o I worked as a carpenter and sweat (sweat blood at Gethsemane)
o I was baptised (in water, in the Holy Spirit, and persecution leading to death); in fact, I did not need it; I have been ‘Christ’, the baptized one; I fulfilled all righteousness by this act too.
o I got soiled and was made naked; I cleaned, bathed, and dressed
o I preached, I rebuked and also spoke sarcastically sometimes
o I was hungry and thirsty; I ate, drank, digested, and egested; only men need water and nutrition.
o I spat saliva (to heal a blind man)
o I felt tired; I slept on a pillow; only human-beings sleep.
o I rode on a colt; only humans need a mode of transport to travel.
o Angels ministered unto me; I needed their help at times.
o I was tempted in all points; only man can be tempted! However, I did not sin even once.
o I had a freewill that I could exercise of my own; I submitted my will to my Father to do His will; I was led by the Spirit.
o I humbled myself and learned obedience to my Father and heed to His voice; Only a man needs to obey!
o I remained obedient to my earthly mom and Joseph.
o I attended social gatherings – weddings, festivals and feasts.
o I felt physical suffering, emotional pain and mental agony.
o I developed friendship; I even considered my disciples, friends.
o I wept on the loss of a loved one and at the pathetic Jews.
o I paid tax to the authorities as a loyal citizen of a land.
o I got angry when people desecrated the Jewish temple; I took a whip and dismantled their shops.
o I prayed, fasted, read the Scriptures and assembled at the synagogue.
o I gave up my spirit and died; only earthlings die physically.
o I was risen from the dead on the third day by God.
o I have the keys of hell and of death.
o I am seated at the right hand of the Majesty on high to rule in the kingdom of heaven.
o I am coming once more - for my Church, my Bride, and my Body.
Anyone who confesses not that I am come in the flesh is a deceiver and an antichrist.
