I saw, I came, I conquered, I AM coming

A short (auto)biography of the Lord Jesus Christ

Chapter 18

Vini - I came

I Came - Contd.
There were the others – religious people – Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes, Lawyers, members of the Sanhedrin and a lot more who showed allegiance to the Chief Priest. Barring a couple of them, who approached me with true reverence, all of them were behind me to criticize, to find fault, and to catch me in my words. However, they were unsuccessful every time. After all this, they failed to recognize my identity. Some even thought I was casting out demons with the help of Satan’s agent Beelzebub. They sought a sign from me from heaven for them to believe in me. I refused to show them any other than the sign of prophet Jonah – three night and days in the heart of the earth, only to return alive. But this would be evident to them only after my death, burial, and resurrection. Too late.

I spoke to the public often in allegories and parables. I did not talk to them in plain language because most of them did not hear it with faith. Many were after the food that I provided them or the healing that I offered them. Very few, including my disciples, were interested to know the meaning behind the parables, most of which dealt with the kingdom of heaven and its characteristics. I would call them aside often times to explain the parable to them so that they could understand.

Matthew, Mark and Luke recorded a lot of my statements alongside their narration of the events that happened while I was on this earth.
