Once, I took Peter, James, and John with me to a mountain. I transfigured before them, and they momentarily saw my glory. Moses and Elijah met me there to talk to me about my mission as described in the Scriptures. Peter, not realising what he was stating, said that it would be good if they can set up a tent each for the three of us. It was then that my Father’s voice interrupted Peter announcing that I am His beloved Son. He bid them hear me. I am the fulfilment of all Old Testament scriptures – law and the prophecies. Immediately after the voice, only the four of us were found there. I told them not to share this experience with anybody else soon enough. They will reflect on it after I depart from them post my death and resurrection.

I sent seventy of my disciples as a team of two each, to preach the gospel, empowering them to heal the sick and cast out evil spirits. They returned rejoicing after their ministry. When they were chasing out demons, I saw Satan fall from heaven, the earth’s atmosphere, to the earth. He was panicking because his kingdom was being shattered by my disciples. He intended to stop me from going to the cross which was the original purpose of God in me. He was clueless, though, because he did not know how this move in the plan of God would spell his doom.

Even the people of my own family failed to believe I am the Son of God who had come to accomplish the purpose of God. They thought I was out of my mind when I went about doing the works that I saw my heavenly Father do. I would spend long hours with Him in prayer often during the night at some secluded place. A huge multitude would throng me during the day, some to hear me speak, others to receive miraculous healing and a lot more were after the food that I would provide them. I multiplied five loaves of bread and two fishes to feed a huge crowd comprising of five thousand men apart from women and children. I did this again for a four thousand some time afterward. This time it was just seven loaves and a few small fishes. Everyone ate to their content and my disciples even picked up baskets of leftovers both the times. Though these were new to all, it was not for me. I had fed my people in the wilderness for forty years with the heavenly manna every day on their way to Canaan. I also fed them with quails when they demanded meat to eat. And there was no shortage of water all along.

One day, when I was with my disciples at Caesarea Philippi, I took some feedback: I asked them, “Who do people say I am?” Some said I was John the Baptist (who was already dead by that time, murdered by Herod for condemning the king’s sin); others said I was another prophet like Isaiah or Jeremiah. I directed my question to my disciples. Peter (also known as Simon) was the first to answer (as usual (😊). He said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God”. I appreciated his candid reply. In fact, my Father had revealed this transcendental truth to him; My Father still does this to those who come trusting me for eternal life.

Immediately following this solemn confession, I declared to my disciples that I am the Rock on which I will build my church; and the gates of hell cannot prevail against it. No tactic of the enemy can deter, slow down, or hinder Our eternal purpose of bringing more sons to glory. The building of this divine structure will continue till all my ‘foreknown, chosen, called, justified and glorified’ are included in it.

Do you know that I began this work of building my church on the day of Pentecost, fifty days after my resurrection? The kingdom of God was openly established on this earth on that day.

I was anointed by My God as His King long before, even before time. He said, “Sit at my right hand till I make Your enemies Your footstool”. I rule Sovereign not only in the kingdoms of men but also, now, in the hearts of my believing people – Jew or gentile. They become citizens of Zion and my heavenly city New Jerusalem; they are made Kings and Priests as well unto my God; they will enforce my authority here on earth and rule; they will continue to offer sacrifices of praise and intercede for their fellowmen. While praying, “Let Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven”, they will keep evangelising. This kingdom will come into the individuals of every nation, people, tribe, and tongue.
