Noah was the first person to travel on a huge floating vessel. Today we call them ships. Navai is Thamizh for ship. It is from this root word we get the English words Navy, navigation and the Hindi word Nav.

Navalantheevu (the island of the shipbuilder) was the original supercontinent that existed before the flood. Noah’s ark landed on the Ararat mountains. Water started draining and the mountain tops surfaced. It took longer for the dry land to show up. This is why there is an adage about Thamizhar being the ancient ones proving that Thamizh is the first and the only classical language that is alive and flourishing: Kal thondri man thondraa kaalaththey, (vaalodu) mun thondri mootha kudi.
