God says in His word that He will wind up everything here in time. There will be a brilliant future for the believers of God beyond this time and space. It is called 'eternity'.

The present earth and heavens are sustained by the Word of God Who created it in the beginning. But they are kept in store and reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. There is coming a day called the day of the Lord which will come unexpectedly when the heavens will pass away with a great noise and the elements will melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. All these things will be dissolved. Apostle John saw this in his vision: “The heaven and earth fled away from the face of the One who sat on a great white throne and there was found no place for them. There was no more sea”. Believers are looking forward to and hasting unto this day of the Lord. But they are also looking beyond this day – look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2 Pet 3:13).

The New Testament Church will inhabit a holy city. It is called the New Jerusalem that apostle John saw coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Jesus said, “Him that overcomes, I will write upon him the name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, which is New Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from My God: and I will write upon him My new name”. – Rev 3:12. This New Jerusalem is the Church redeemed by the Lord Himself and purchased by His blood that was shed on the cross. Christ, the head and the church, His body will make the whole that God purposed originally. The culmination of all that God planned even before the foundation of the world would have happened then. The great “I am” who is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end would have declared, “It is done”.

They which are written in the Lamb's book of life will enter into this New Jerusalem. This will be the address of the overcomer in Christ. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth would have brought their glory and honour into it. And they would bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. – Rev 21: 24, 26.

His servants shall serve Him: And they shall see His face; and His name shall be on their foreheads. And they shall reign for ever and ever.

Time shall be no more!
