The Fifth trumpet and the First woe

The fifth angel sounded his trumpet.

A star fell from Heaven unto the earth long back. His name is Destruction. This is Satan. He spread chaos. During His earthly ministry, Jesus said that He saw Satan fall from heaven. He also said the prince of the world has come down to this earth (never to return there; he has no access to the second (space) or third Heaven anymore). This was when His disciples started casting out demons. Satan started panicking when his kingdom was attacked by the Lord’s disciples. He rushed to stop this assault. He even tried his best to stop the Lord from going to the cross and fulfil God’s purpose. That he failed shamefully is a fact that this person does not want others to know – not even his allies.

Satan had earlier fallen from the third heaven, the dwelling place of God. He fell to the first heaven. The first heaven is earth’s atmosphere. The second heaven was not in place by the time he fell. The second heaven was created when the revamping took place on earth as per Genesis One. God created the firmament in which He placed the sun, moon, planets, stars and other heavenly bodies. Satan had access to God as well as to the earth (and Eve in the garden of Eden) after the second heaven was created. Satan could have met God anywhere in the second or the first heaven or on earth to talk about Job and Joshua the priest of the Old Testament.

(Jesus said that Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. Satan held the keys of the bottomless pit, and all the dead went here prior to the invasion of Jesus to this place. Jesus usurped the keys from Satan when He descended to hell to set the captives free. These were the Old Testament saints that had been held captive by death. At His resurrection, Jesus led a train of these saints as first-fruits to heaven (in their glorious bodies?) some of whom were seen by people in the city as per Matthew. These saints might be part of those whom the Lord will bring with Him at His second coming. The unbelieving dead of the Old and New Testament still remain in that bottomless pit or hell. The souls of the believing dead of the New Testament go to heaven).

The bottomless pit cannot be somewhere on this earth because, there is a bottom to every pit (not a hole!) that we can dig here as our earth is almost spherical. The bottomless pit might be well below the earth’s (and our solar system and the milky way galaxy’s) galactical plane. By the way, Heaven, God’s abode might be above (North) the plane of the galactic plane, not necessarily near or above the north pole of the earth. Do not believe any news that there is a fiery pit in Siberia with yells of hell. And, Jesus does not take anybody personally on a tour to hell (or heaven). Mary Katherine Baxter, the seven Columbian youth and the like are Satan’s agents who are trying to advocate for God by playing down the actual pain in hell merely focusing on the physical aspect of pain (very much like how Harrison Ford undermined the real agony that Jesus suffered in Gethsemane and Calvary by purely focusing on the physical pain He endured in his ‘Passion of Christ’). Nobody goes to hell and comes back to earth. The temporary bottomless pit and the eternal lake of fire and brimstone are hell a lot more painful than what people try to depict in videos and books. Torment, pain and agony will be felt without end. It is eternal separation from God and eternal dwelling with the devil and his associates. Beware such authors and publishers! Do not be deceived.

Smoke arose from the bottomless pit that the ungodly dead inhabited. Satan with the keys to death and this hell, was unleashing deception from this place. These developed into today’s many heresies and doctrines of demons on earth; they have tried to shroud the truth of the gospel with lies. Idolatry, deification of man, pantheism, theory of Evolution, Capitalism, Communism, Atheism, Environmentalism and a hundred other evil isms and religions of the world are all attempts by these seed of Satan to pollute and corrupt the world. These have caused immeasurable pain to millions. Smoke of a great furnace produces only pollutants. The smoke brought darkness by dimming the light of the sun. It darkened the atmosphere of the earth. Satan tries to veil the truth and light to spread darkness. He tries to spread idiotism, ignorance and evil.

Satan has unleashed evil spirits from the bottomless pit like a plague of locusts. (They do not hurt greenery). Jesus likened an egg to the Holy Spirit (with full potential to bring forth life) and a scorpion to probably the opposite, an evil spirit (with potential to bring about death). They hurt people: all who have not been sealed by the Spirit of God. By the end of the age, all people, including Christians by name only, not by spiritual rebirth, will be tormented on earth with pain – spiritually, physically and mentally for a significant period.

However, the Lord Jesus has given His disciples power over scorpions / evil spirits, over serpents / brood of vipers (children of the Devil) and over all the powers of the enemy; these cannot hurt them.
Five (Jewish) months or a hundred and fifty days was the time when the ‘waters prevailed upon the earth’ during the flood of Genesis seven. Noah and his family were preserved in the ark during this time. Believers would be preserved in Jesus Christ during this painful period, though not a literal one hundred and fifty days.

Pain would be so unbearable that men would seek death. But death will flee from them because the keys of death and hell are with Christ,; He usurped it from Satan. Death cannot function on its own or obey its boss Satan. Death should submit to Christ, wait for His permission, and give an account (along with the sea and hell) on the last day.

The evil spirits (and the people they possess) that hurt people would have the swiftness of horses and would spread evil rapidly. Royalty or people in power will enable them. They would have a human face (philanthropists of the world?) and would bear earthly glory and fame (long hair of women is a mark of glory). But they would also have the brutality of lions to devour people (through their seemingly benign / beneficial recommendations which would turn out to be deadly). They will have strong defences (money?) to protect themselves and they would attack in unison with the others of their kind. They hurt in a subtle manner (by their tails). Satan is their king, and he has been hurting and destroying gullible people painfully.

The Sixth trumpet and the Second woe

It is the time of the second of the three woes announced by the angel. The sixth angel sounded his trumpet. He was given an additional assignment. He would loosen the four angels that are bound in the great river Euphrates (rushing and rolling over). God had prepared them to kill one third of mankind (present by that time?). Each had a timeframe to operate. The first would be active for a certain period. Another would kill nearly twenty-four times longer than the first. A third would kill for at least thirty times longer than the second. And the fourth would kill for a period twelve times longer than the third.
They were a two hundred million (two hundred thousand thousand) strong army of horsemen. (200,000,000 is the largest countable number mentioned in Revelation and is 2.5% of today’s population of the world). It is a real huge number – not to be taken at its face-value. Their movement was swift, and their onslaught was fierce. They were clothed in fiery red, blue and yellow. Their vehicles spat fiery red, blue and yellow. The vehicles had power packed in their heads and in their tails. They resemble modern day missiles that have war heads powered by yellow jet tails. We see the foretaste of them even now in ICBMs and rockets. One third of mankind was killed by the fire emitted by them.

This huge army could also denote the evil spirits that are mobilised by Satan and his allies to fight against the purpose of God. They possess humans and prepare to fight against God. However, God’s army has the last say. This is in chapter sixteen as the sixth vial being poured out.

Those who escaped these destructive weapons continued to serve idols made of gold, silver, brass, stone or wood, which cannot see, hear or walk. They kept doing evil undeterred by the calamity happening around them. They did not repent of their sinful works – murders (homicide, genocide), sorceries (occult, spiritism, black-magic, Horoscope, Star signs, tarot cards, Ouija boards, yoga, Karate etc.), fornication (sexual immorality and pursuit of money and worldly wealth) and thefts (of property and souls of men).
